Saturday 7th January

Arrived in Auckland at approx 2pm in heavy persistent rain. Very strange cloud patterning approaching New Zealand, near Australia. Lots of rows of small fluffy clouds, in straight lines for miles. Amazing sight.

Usual problem getting a 'Flat Cody' photo, no signs in the Auckland airport terminal showing your location.

Time short in Auckland and very awkward changing terminals in heavy rain, but flight NZ 673 to Dunedin delayed. Heavy rain during flight so didn't see much from plane until approaching final destination.

Met at airport by Kay, Brent, Chris & Kath. Welcomes all round, good to see them all again. Drove to Chris's but builder still not complete, so drove on to Kay's to recover from jet lag.
